LG Electronics unveiled its new commercial system air conditioner, the LG Multi V 7, for the first time on Oct. 21 at the Korea International HVAC&R Exhibition (HARFKO 2026) at KINTEX in Ilsan, Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.
Outlets described the AI differently. Digital Daily reported that the Multi V 7 combines on-device AI built into the product with cloud AI, calling it dual AI. IT Chosun and iNews24 reported that the product applies AI and a new compressor to improve heating and cooling performance and energy efficiency. Digital Today described it as a product that connects multiple indoor units to a single outdoor unit, and IT Chosun called it a large-capacity system air conditioner.
Jeongi Shinmun (전기신문) reported that LG Electronics also presented a range of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) solutions, from heat pumps for apartment complexes to cooling technology for AI data centers. EBN reported that the company is stepping up its push into the HVAC market with cooling technology spanning homes, commercial and industrial facilities, and AI data centers.
Earlier, on Oct. 20, iNews24 reported, citing LG Electronics, that President Ryu Jae-cheol named cooling technology as a key factor that will decide the competitiveness of AI data centers and stressed the importance of integrated thermal management.
