Kakao Mobility said on the 6th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on cooperation for mutual development in defense artificial intelligence with Korea University's C5ISRT Convergence Research Institute. C5ISRT refers to an advanced command-and-control and battlefield awareness system that integrates command, control, communications, computers, cyber, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and targeting.
The two sides will cooperate on areas such as defense AI-based command and control, surveillance and reconnaissance, and developing a manned-unmanned integrated control platform. The aim is to speed up defense AX by applying Kakao Mobility's core mobility technology to the defense sector.
