Doosan Robotics said on the 6th that it won two national projects related to physical AI. It won the projects under programs including the K-On-Device AI Semiconductor Technology Development Program, jointly run by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources and the Korea Evaluation Institute of Industrial Technology.
The first project is to build a collaborative robot that carries a domestic AI semiconductor and makes decisions on its own without connecting to an external cloud. The company plans to grow this into a "Korean-style physical AI cobot integrated platform."
The second project is an intelligent welding solution for nuclear power plant components, with the goal of using AI to achieve the welding skill of an experienced worker.
