Chosun Biz and AI Times described the talks on combining Tesla and SpaceX in different terms. Chosun Biz wrote that a formal plan to pursue integration of the two companies was announced on the 20th (local time), while AI Times wrote in its Oct. 22 piece that a merger is being seriously discussed.
According to AI Times, each of the two companies has set up a special committee made up of independent directors, and CEO Elon Musk also said the merger has considerable advantages. It said the combined value of the two companies comes to $3.5 trillion (about 4,634 trillion won).
