Megazone Cloud and KAIST Cooperate on Physical AI Standardization
Key points
- Megazone Cloud and KAIST sign physical AI agreement
- Pursuing industrial application, standardization and global expansion
- Applying the robot orchestration platform KAIROS 37
Megazone Cloud signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the KAIST Manufacturing Physical AI Research Institute for cooperation in physical AI. VentureSquare, Tech M, Datanet, Digital Today and Techworld News reported the same news. Tech M and Techworld News gave the date of the agreement as the 2nd, and the company announced it on the 3rd.
VentureSquare wrote that the two sides will apply KAIST's robot orchestration platform "KAIROS 37" to industrial sites and build a common technology base for linking robots, equipment, AI and data systems. Tech M reported that the aim is to spread technical results confirmed in the research and demonstration stages into a standardized structure that can be applied repeatedly in different manufacturing environments.
Datanet pointed to technology commercialization and revitalizing the industrial ecosystem as pillars of the agreement, and said the institute's director is Jang Young-jae. Digital Today and Techworld News put forward both standardization and entry into global markets.
Recent developments VentureSquare reported that Megazone Cloud co-hosted "Quantum × AI: The Next Frontier 2026" with the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI) and discussed industrial uses combining AI, supercomputing and quantum computing.
Terms explained: Physical AI refers to technology that combines AI with machines that move real objects, such as robots, so they operate in real-world environments. Orchestration means coordinating multiple devices and systems so they work together.
