AhnLab to Help Build Security System for Generative AI Use on National Research Foundation's Work Network
Key points
- AhnLab supports N2SF buildout at the National Research Foundation of Korea
- Generative AI and internet use on the work network
- Leads the consortium for KISA's adoption support project
AhnLab announced on the 12th that, under the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA)'s "2026 National Network Security Framework (N2SF) Adoption Support Project," it will build a security system for generative AI and internet use on the National Research Foundation of Korea's work network and expand its scope of application. AhnLab is the lead company of the consortium carrying out the project.
iNews24 introduced N2SF as a framework that classifies work information by importance and applies different security levels. Tech M and Boannews reported on progress since June and also named other companies, such as MonitorLab and Dream Security.
The outlets described the expected benefits differently. Chosun Biz put the ability to use AI on work PCs in its headline, and Digital Daily wrote that it is a system that lets National Research Foundation staff use generative AI and the internet on their work PCs. Their handling of timing diverged. Digital Today wrote that it has been built, while Datanet and iNews24 wrote that it is being built and its scope of application expanded.
Tech M put expansion to the whole company in November in its headline.
