HL Robotics, a wholly owned subsidiary of HL Holdings, will unveil the outdoor autonomous parking robot STAN in Korea for the first time. The Elec reported that the company announced it on the 16th, and Industry News and Digital Daily carried the same story.
The venue is the 32nd ITS World Congress in Gangneung, Gangwon Province. According to The Elec, the event runs from Oct. 19 to 23, and HL Robotics will demonstrate STAN there. The Elec described the ITS World Congress as an international exhibition and conference in the field of intelligent transport systems.
Outlets described STAN's features slightly differently. Industry News introduced it as an autonomous driving solution that uses digital twin technology to control multiple robots in real time and maximize parking space efficiency. Its headline called it the "world's first outdoor parking robot," an expression that appears only in Industry News.
Digital Daily reported that HL Robotics plans to target the airport and logistics markets by showing outdoor parking automation technology on top of its existing indoor parking robot PARKIE. Industry News noted that Korea's parking robot market is expanding beyond indoor settings to outdoor ones.
