LG Electronics Subsidiary Hi-M Solutek Expands Cooling Maintenance for AI Data Centers
Key points
- Scope widened from chillers to liquid cooling
- Integrated maintenance of cooling and air conditioning equipment
- Data centers respond to rising heat from AI servers
Hi-M Solutek, an LG Electronics subsidiary specializing in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) maintenance, said on Oct. 8 that it is strengthening an integrated maintenance system for cooling and air conditioning equipment as the AI data center market expands. It is widening its maintenance scope, previously centered on chiller equipment, to include coolant distribution units and liquid cooling equipment.
According to Chosun Biz, as heat output from AI servers grows, cooling equipment maintenance work at data centers has also risen by about 71% this year compared with 2021. Hi-M Solutek plans to respond with a one-stop management system covering cooling and air conditioning equipment as a whole.
