Flitto said on the 14th that it is supplying its AI interpretation and translation solution "Vogl" to major offline Kyobo Book Centre stores and has begun a pilot service for serving foreign customers. Techworld News and Bloter reported that it is being run as a proof of concept (PoC).
The pilot stores are the Gwanghwamun, Gangnam and Dongdaemun branches. Digital Daily explained that as the nationalities of foreign visitors to bookstores become more diverse, the need to serve them in multiple languages in stores has grown.
Techworld News described the rollout as an opportunity to extend Vogl's reach into books and cultural retail.
